Introduction
Golf is a weird passion for some people, mostly you just imagine old people in golf carts with weird hats getting angry but it's so much more than that for me. I've been on and off playing for the past 5 years, I used to go out with my dad when I was younger but back then I would just get too angry; I never had fun with it. Well these last 2 years I was privileged to work at Shining Rock golf course, and one of the benefits of working there is I can play for free pretty much any afternoon. So I've been going more and more and now I've been going with my best friend as well. We are both trying to get better and by the end of the year hopefully we will be playing as well as we possibly can. So, let's move on to the videos!
Let's start with something that sounds so simple, yet it's so hard to do. Hitting the ball straight, it might be the hardest task in all of golf and I still struggle with it today. Here's a short video of me trying to explain how to hit it straight, a lot of the time it won't work but you do need to practice in order to get somewhere!
So, let's recap. Torque in a swing is what gets your ball farther and straighter. It is very important when swinging your club to follow through with your hips as well. You could swing a club as hard as you could but without that hip turn inside of your swing. It's practically a loose cannon. In simple turns torque is a twist where your hips are facing forwards after the swing.
Something to add onto torque is to make sure that you follow through with your swing, don't like the club just fall, swing through it without decelerating. Which brings me onto my next video.

Accelerating and Decelerating, huge components of your swing that can determine the speed and the length of your ball flight. I call it "babying" a swing, when you accelerate backwards at an appropriate speed and then you slow down your swing speed through the ball. Not only does it screw up your flight path your ball might not even go two feet in front of you when you need it to go 10 yards.
